WHAT IF I DON'T OWN A TUXEDO/GOWN?
Our black tie dress code should not require that you shell out a lot on your attire.
If you don't currently own a tuxedo/gown, we welcome you to borrow from a friend, shop secondhand, or even rent from the many available rental services. We've included some options for these that we've come across in our own experience as wedding guests:

Tuxedos & Suits:

Gowns:
- ASOS
- Lulu's
WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?
The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:15PM (seriously), so we ask that you arrive with a sufficient buffer to park, navigate the grounds and find your seat before the ceremony begins, ideally by 5PM the latest. As we look forward to seeing our guests dressed to the nines, we have arranged for our photographer to take welcome portraits ahead of the ceremony and encourage your early arrival to take advantage of this opportunity!
AM I ALLOWED TO TAKE PHOTOS DURING THE WEDDING?
This is an unplugged wedding. Our wedding day is about much more to us than just a large party with our friends & family, but about our true commitment to one another & the marriage of our lives. You've been very intentionally invited to share in this momentous occasion with us and we ask that in return you are present with us throughout our wedding day and refrain from using your devices during our ceremony. The greatest gift you can give us is to be truly present, so please turn off all phones and cameras and enjoy this special moment with us so that when we look into the audience, we see a sea of faces of those we love most in this world and not your phones.
We'll be delighted to share all of our professional photos with you afterwards.
TRANSPORTATION & PARKING
We have arranged for transportation to/from our hotel block, which is about a fifteen minute ride to/from the venue. There is also an ample amount of free parking at our venue, should you choose to drive. Ride share is fairly easy to come by in & around Princeton for those opting for another plan outside of our hotel block.
WILL THE WEDDING BE HELD INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?
The Ceremony will take place outdoors. In the case of rain, the space will be tented and/or umbrellas will be provided. The ceremony space is in the grass and heel stoppers will be available for those that need them.
The Cocktail Hour will take place both indoors & outdoors. There will be a bar and space indoors for guests to sit and dine, as well as freedom for guests to roam the grounds around the Clubhouse.
The Reception including dinner and dancing will be held inside the Clubhouse.
WHICH SIDE OF THE AISLE SHOULD I SIT ON?
We as a couple have invited you to our wedding to share in our unity so we encourage you to pick a seat, not a side because we'll all be family once the knot is tied. We only ask that you pay attention to any signs for reserved seating when selecting where to sit. If it will help you when choosing your seat, looking at the altar, the Bride will be on the right side and the Groom on the left.
ARE CHILDREN WELCOME AT THE WEDDING?
Although we love your children, our wedding is a 21+ affair following the ceremony. We appreciate you making arrangements before the big day so that you can enjoy your night out with us too!
CAN I BRING A PLUS ONE?
We're so excited to celebrate this day with our nearest and dearest, and are keeping to a strict limited guest list to accommodate our venue's capacity. Thank you for not bringing a guest unless noted on your invite and RSVP response.
WHAT TIME WILL YOUR WEDDING RECEPTION END?
WILL THERE BE AN AFTER PARTY?
Our wedding will officially conclude at 12 midnight, but we aim to wrap up the majority of our "wedding moments" closer to 11PM so that guests who would like to leave earlier may do so. There are no official plans for an after party but there are a number of bars in & around Princeton that you can continue the fun at if you're inclined to.
VENUE ACCESSIBILITY
Our venue has handicap accessibility for guests as needed. The majority of our wedding can be enjoyed at ground floor with very few steps involved. There are restrooms located in the Clubhouse at ground level, as well as elevators for those on the lower level. Additionally, there is a wheelchair lift to lower guests into the reception space as needed. Golf cart shuttle to the ceremony space can be arranged for those needing it, please reach out to the Bride & Groom for more information.
FOOD SELECTION & ALLERGIES
You will be able to select from our meal choices when RSVP'ing and your meal will be served at the Reception accordingly. For those with allergies or dietary restrictions, please include details in your RSVP and let the Bride & Groom know so that an alternative option for your main course can be provided if needed.
WILL THERE BE OTHER WEDDING WEEKEND EVENTS?
Any pre-wedding related events will be communicated directly to relevant attendees as plans settle. All guests are welcomed to join us around 12PM the day following the wedding for a casual poolside gathering at the Bride's parents house in nearby Hillsborough (53 Winding Way, Hillsborough, NJ 08844).
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS
Our venue has a STRICT no smoking on property policy so please refrain from any smoking, including cigarettes, vapes, marijuana, cigars, etc.

HISTORY OF THE VENUE & PRONUNCIATION
Brendan is a big history buff so in his honor, we're giving you the history of our venue! Jasna Polana, pronounced "Yazna polAna", was built in the early 1970’s as the country home of J. Seward Johnson and his wife, Barbara (of Johnson & Johnson). It directly translates to mean "bright meadow" in Polish. Barbara Johnson was a Polish-born art historian whose collections of antique furniture and paintings filled the house (and still do to this day, including the two giltwood mirrors and console tables on either side of the front door of the main foyer that are from George II, circa 1740.), but after her husband's death in 1983, she spent more time in Europe, and made plans for the estate to be developed. The 222+ acre grounds eventually became the Gary Player designed PGA golf course of today and was just recently sold to Concert Golf Partners this past year. The estate was designed by world renowned architect Wallace Harrison, who also designed Rockefeller Center, Metropolitan Opera House and the United Nations Building. Each piece of stone of the main Clubhouse building was cut from quarried stone from Scranton, PA and shaped with a hammer and chisel - no saws were used. The Annex House located on the far end of the property was the main residence of the Johnsons, while the Clubhouse where the wedding is taking place was their "hosting" pad. The Beata House, located just off the main driveway, was used as a guest house for party guests. The Travertine Room, where the reception will be taking place, was the former site of Barbara's beloved 72' black marble indoor swimming pool, so while we're dancing the night away you can imagine the former swimming pool beneath our feet (now used for storage).
